Huawei P20 and Mate 10 series in China receiving new update, global users awaits EMUI 10
Huawei P20 and Mate 10 devices already completed EMUI 10 upgrade in China. However, users of these two smartphone series are still waiting for the latest version of EMUI around the globe.
According to a report, the update for Huawei Mate 10 and P20 global devices could receive EMUI 10 from next month onwards.
Meanwhile, Chinese models of Huawei P20, P20 Pro, Mate 10, Mate 10 Pro, Mate 10 Porsche Design receiving a new EMUI 10 update with February 2020 security improvements and System stability optimizations for smoother performance.
February 2020 system security brings Google security patches, fixing 2 critical and 20 high levels of Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE).
One of the critical CVE-2020-0022 AKA BlueFrag is also fixed in this update, which allows silent code execution on the device that leads to data theft and spreading malware.
Huawei P20 and Mate 10 series EMUI VERSION:
Huawei P20, P20 Pro, Mate 10, Mate 10 Pro and Mate 10 Porsche Design receiving February EMUI security update and system stability optimizations with EMUI version 10.0.0.162 an upgrade from EMUI 10.0.0.156.
Note: Global models of these devices are still on EMUI 9.1.
EMUI 10 for global users:
EMUI 10 for Huawei P20 and Mate 10 devices expected to roll out starting April for some global users and will expand onwards to different markets.
