Honor 20i receiving VoWiFi calling feature with February EMUI security update
Honor 10 Lite and Honor 8X are the first ones that received VoWiFi Calling feature in India. And by moving towards more devices, Honor is now rolling this new calling feature to another smartphone running EMUI 10.
According to a Honor Club users, Honor 20i in India receiving a new EMUI update that enables VoWiFi features, and also includes February 2020 security patch for improved system security.
VoWiFi:
Voice over Wi-Fi (VoWiFi) or Wi-Fi Calling, enables users to use smartphones that support VoWiFi to dial numbers to use voice or video calls when a Wi-Fi connection is available.
February 2020 Security:
The February 2020 security comes with Google security patches and fixes 2 critical and 20 high levels of Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE).
One of the critical CVE-2020-0022 AKA BlueFrag is also fixed in this update, which allows silent code execution on the device that leads to data theft and spreading malware.
Honor 20i EMUI VERSION:
Honor 20i receiving the VoWiFi and February 2020 system security with EMUI version 10.0.0.177 and 0.93GB of software package size.
OTHER DEVICES:
Honor Play is next in line waiting for its VoWiFi update with the March security patch. More devices could be devices added in the next few months.
