Huawei Nova 6 SE grabs February EMUI security update

Earlier this month, Huawei rolled out a new EMUI update for Huawei Nova 6 SE with audio improvement but the update didn’t include a security patch, which is rolling with a separate update.

Huawei Nova 6 SE receiving a new software update with February 2020 security update, improving system security with Google security patches, fixing 2 critical and 20 high levels of Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE).

One of the critical CVE-2020-0022 AKA BlueFrag was also fixed in this update, which allows silent code execution on the device that leads to data theft and spreading malware.

EMUI VERSIONS:

The February 2020 security update for Huawei Nova 6 SE comes with EMUI version 10.0.1.157.

How to update:

1. Open Settings
2. Click on ‘System & updates’
3. Click on ‘Software update’
4. Click on ‘CHECK FOR UPDATES’
5. Click on ‘Download and install’
