Huawei Mate 10 smartphones disappeared from monthly security updates, EMUI 10 upgrade goes on
Launched in 2017, Huawei Mate 10 series flagship was the beginning of Huawei’s top smartphone offering to the consumers equipped with dual rear camera and the powerful Kirin 970 processor.
These smartphones selected to receive monthly EMUI security updates but recently the Huawei Mate 10, Mate 10 Pro and Mate 10 Porsche Design have vanished from the monthly and quarterly security updates page (first noticed by RPRNA).
Huawei Mate 10, Mate 10 Pro, Mate 10 Porsche Design launched pre-installed with EMUI 8.0 and received major OS upgrades to EMUI 8.1, EMUI 9.0, then EMUI 9.1 and currently EMUI 10 (ongoing).
Instead of being demoted to the quarterly section, these smartphones got disappearing directly from the update page.
However, this could be a mistake or something else because the Mate 10 devices are eligible for EMUI 10 but it’s also a fact that these devices are one of the oldest smartphones in the list completing software update lifecycles.
On the other hand, the Mate 10 Lite is still on the updates page in the quarterly section, demoted from the monthly section.
Currently, we don’t have any official information regarding this matter and if anything emerges we’ll get you in touch.
