Honor 20i receiving stable EMUI 10 (Android 10)

Honor India has started to rollout full OTA of EMUI 10 for Honor 20i with version 10.0.0.158 and weighs at 3.58GB.

EMUI 10 brings new Morandi color system, Magazine style user interface design, new animations, newly added features such as Dark Mode, and a focused and improved user experience.

January 10, 2020:

Honor has confirmed the stable EMUI 10 rollout schedule for several old smartphones and now some of the smartphone users on EMUI 10 beta started receiving the stable patch, which concludes their beta programs.

Honor has just begun sending stable EMUI 10 patches to Honor 20i and Honor 10 Lite users, who participated in the EMUI 10 beta program. The update also includes December 2019 security enhancements.

The December 2019 security update fixes to 3 critical, 24 high and 1 medium level of Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) found in the recent build.

Versions:

The new update for Honor 20i comes with version 10.0.0.158 and weighs at 650MB. On the other hand, Honor 10 Lite receiving EMUI version 10.0.0.159, which is the same as the ongoing stable rollout.

According to Honor, the Honor 20i will receive the stable EMUI 10 by the second week of January 2020. While the Honor 10 Lite is already receiving a full EMUI 10 OTA update in India.

How to update:

Via Settings:

1. Open Settings
2. Click on ‘System & updates’
3. Click on ‘Software update’
4. Click on ‘CHECK FOR UPDATES’
5. Click on ‘Download and install’

Via HiCare:

1. Open HiCare app
2. Click on ‘Services’ tab
3. Click on ‘Update’
4. Click on ‘CHECK FOR UPDATES’
5. Click on ‘Download and install’
