Here comes Huawei Assistant, Huawei’s new smart support that you can now test on your smartphone

Huawei, Honor or most of the Android-powered smartphone comes with a set of Google’s applications and services under the Google Mobile Services (GMS) suite including its Artificial Intelligence-powered virtual assistant called – Google Assistant.

But, do you know that Huawei is also working on its own Smart Assitant, and you can now test it on your Huawei or Honor smartphones.

According to Huawei, the Huawei assistant is the new suite of modules designed to provide better services to users intelligently and quickly, in collaboration with leading global brands.

This new assistant comes as part of Huawei Mobile Services (HMS), which currently available in more than 170+ countries/Regions.

So, what Huawei Assitant offers for users?

Huawei Assistant is a personal assistant at your side. It provides you with considerate, accurate, and easy-to-access everyday services on demand.

1. Global search allows for searches of local content or on the default browser. 2. Instant access Pins up shortcuts that you customize directly on the home screen for you to access favorite content with a single touch.

3. SmartCare directly displays notifications and reminders via smart cards such as Stocks, Sports, and Work, based on your needs and specific usage scenarios.

4. Newsfeed provides you with personalized news based on the language & region settings of your device.

How to enable Huawei Assistant:

Touch and hold a blank area on the home screen or pinch your fingers together to open the screen management view and enable Huawei Assistant. You can access Huawei Assistant just by swiping right.

We like the way that Huawei has designed the Huawei Assitant and it’s easy to interact with. Still, the voice search feature is missing, which we could see in the full version.

You can test it:

Huawei is yet to launch the official version of Huawei Assitant but the company has already started an early bird program that will let you test this application earlier than the official release.

How to enter

1. Read the campaign rules here.
2. Download the APK of Huawei Assistant, and install it on your Huawei or Honor smartphone. Huawei Assistant is supported by smartphones running EMUI 9.1 and above.
3. Give your feedback about Huawei Assistant on Huawei Mobile Services Fans Club (EU) Facebook group or any participating website or forum. Languages: English, Polish, Spanish, German, French, Italian.

Prize

Every week Huawei will draw the one winner from all Assistant users, who give feedback about Huawei Assistant in one of the channels specified above. The prize for the winner is P30 Pro. One participant may get only 1 prize during the entire campaign period.

The early bird campaign will start from October 23 to October 30 to JAN 1, 2020, 11:59 PM (CEST). One week – one prize.

Installation:

Users can download the APK, from here.
After the installation, you can use it go to the device’s screen 1 by swiping left to right.

Note: Huawei Assistant requires smartphones running EMUI 9.1 or above.

Uninstallation:
Settings > Apps > Apps > Huawei Assistant. Uninstall and restart the device.
