Huawei Mate 70 and Mate X6 now compatible with OpenHarmony 5.0.1
Huawei Mate 70 smartphones and Mate X6 foldable have now received the latest OpenHarmony 5.0.1 compatibility certificate. After the OpenHarmony 5.0, the newly launched handsets have passed another compatibility test for the newest version.
OpenHarmony compatibility shows how long a device can support the latest and advanced tech features. It makes the device more supportive of new HarmonyOS builds.
The compatibility test also ensures that the new device can fulfill customers’ as well as enterprise requirements. It can meet the business and technical needs of a consumer.
Mate 70 series already qualified for the OpenHarmony 5.0 on November 23. Although the new foldable was absent from the list. As of now, the Huawei Mate 70 lineup and the Mate X6 folding phone are compatible with the OpenHarmony 5.0.1.
Notably, this is the first time that the Huawei Mate X6 handset has passed the OpenHarmony compatibility test. The evaluation page shows that the foldable now supports OpenHarmony 5.0.1 release with the support version ICL-AL10 5.0.0.111.
Mate X6 comes on the ground with a bigger and thinner design than the Mate X5. It equips a Kirin 9020 chipset and accompanies several AI features like the Air Shooting, smarter-than-ever Celia assistant, AI document tools, and more.

Huawei Mate 70 series and Mate X6 pack several interesting features along with HarmonyOS NEXT. The new handsets sport a quad-camera setup on the rear side with a unique 1.5MP multi-spectral sensor for accurate color restoration and brighter shots.
