Huawei Mate 70 RS Ultimate Design to continue octagonal design

Huawei Mate 70 RS Ultimate Design is still behind the curtains but a new leak suggests that the device will continue the same octagonal design as the previous-gen model. There won’t be any major changes in the new handset, at least in appearance.

Weibo tipster @FixedFocus says that the Huawei Mate 70 RS Ultimate Design will feature an octagonal look on the rear side. It will have an eight-edge camera bump probably with dynamic camera sensors to offer the best photography experience.

An early leak also claimed the signature design for the Mate 70 RS handset. The leak showcased the camera covers of all four models: Standard, Pro, Pro+, and RS Ultimate. While other covers have a circular shape, the RS model showed 8 sides.

Several rumors said that the Huawei Mate 70 RS could adopt a 12-edge look this time. The rumors further stated that the company has been testing new designs for its Mate 70 smartphones, and major changes could be seen with the RS handset.

Although that won’t be the case, at least this early. Huawei will likely use the same octagonal layout for its Mate 70 RS. The tech maker has also adopted this design for the world’s first triple foldable smartphone – Mate XT.

Huawei has kept this device a secret so far. It hasn’t opened the Mate 70 RS Ultimate Design even for reservation. Although the company will unveil it in the Mate 70 series launch event.
