Mate 70 Pro will be in short supply till New Year: Huawei Store
Huawei Mate 70 Pro is expected to be in low supply this year. An official store has recently said that the Pro handset could be fewer in units till the first month of 2025. Other siblings like Standard and Pro+ will be available in more than sufficient stock.
The company today scheduled the Mate 70 series launch for November 26. At the same time, the lineup stepped on the reservation stage for advanced booking.
Following the pre-order activity, many netizens and reporters visited the offline Huawei stores to grab details about the new phones. During a small talk, a Huawei store employee said that Mate 70 Pro will be in short supply till the New Year.
“I heard that there will be fewer Mate 70 Pro units before the New Year, but there will be more Mate 70 and Mate 70 Pro+ units.”
New Year here refers to January 2025. The Chinese New Year will fall on January 29, 2025. Perhaps, Mate 70 Pro could be in short supply till the first month of the next year. Hereafter, the company may increase its production in full swing.
The above input further hints that Huawei might delay the shipment of the Mate 70 Pro handsets for reserved customers. But the situation still seems a bit uncertain.
How accurate the current details are will be known after the Mate 70 series launch. Till then, consumers can continue to book the new flagship models from VMall.
Mate 60 series also faced short-supply problems last year. The company initiated the Pioneer Program for previous-gen models which ultimately resulted in extreme sales. As a result, Huawei had to extend the shipment period for consumers by 2-3 months.
To avoid this situation with the Mate 70 phones, the tech giant allegedly increased the production of new devices ahead of the official release. Yet it looks like Mate 70 Pro will remain the hardest model to buy in this sale, if not all handsets.
