Huawei Mate 70 series is coming but the company’s executives are worried and trying their best to avoid ‘secret photos’ leak of the new device. During a small talk, one official said that he covers his pockets when on a plane to prevent such scenarios.

Yes, we’re talking about Yu Chengdong, the Chairman of Huawei Consumer Business. The executive today attended the Guangzhou Auto Show 2024. During the event, the host revealed a picture where Yu was on a plane, covering his pockets.

When asked about the scenario, the Huawei Chairman responded that he covers his pockets to avoid taking secret photos of his Mate 70. Yu further kept his hands in his pockets at the event, implying that the device was still with him.

In September, Yu Chengdong attended a small interview with CCTV News. At the question-answer table, the executive mentioned that the company officials are tied to information security rules. They can be fined for leaking a pre-launch device.

Despite being careful, the Mate 70 phone has allegedly sneaked in a live image. It showed the front and side design, implying an enlarged power key with a fingerprint sensor. This time, the company is changing the unlocking feature for its new lineup.

Early inputs reveal that the standard and Mate 70 Pro variants may adopt a side-mounted fingerprint sensor equipped with ultrasonic tech. Whereas, the other two high-end models will continue the optical fingerprint sensor solution.
