WhatsApp Gallery Shortcut

WhatsApp is testing a new gallery shortcut that can ease the way users share photos and videos with their contacts. The new capability is under development. However, it is available to a few beta users via the Google Play Beta Program.

Shortcut tools refer to quick settings that simplify the way to operate. The company is now readying a new tool that can enable you to share photos more easily.

Found in the Android beta 2.24.23.11 version, WhatsApp is bringing a new gallery shortcut. The significant tool shows up in the chat bar. For more clarity, this icon replaced the camera symbol and one can identify it with an outline around the camera.

This small change will enable users to quickly share the stored photos or videos on their devices. It will ultimately save you from multiple processes like opening the chat attachment sheet and then scrolling and looking for photos and videos.

Just tap on the icon to browse the media.

Don’t worry as you can still use the camera as before. Just press and hold the button to record instant video messages. The feature is still in the developing phase but it will soon be available to general app users via a stable version.
