HarmonyOS NEXT can give a tough fight to iOS in security and smoothness

HarmonyOS NEXT recently stepped into the smartphone OS world and claims to have the best security and smoothness. Despite being a newbie, the software system can give a tough fight to Apple’s iOS in users’ security and fluent experience.

The Chinese tech giant launched the HarmonyOS NEXT on October 22. It described several amazing features of the software such as new AI tools for privacy, faster file-sharing capability, better support for battery life, and many other smart features.

But to know the actual goodness and stability of the software, one needs to know the users’ reviews. Some beta device owners shared their experience with Huawei’s self-developed operating system. And the reviews are worth paying attention to.

A user recently switched from an iPhone to a Huawei flagship device and was eager to test the smoothness of the new software. After exploring the beta, he said:

“The animation is truly smooth and pleasing to the eyes. I can just tap or swipe the screen and it’s very relaxing. iOS is really a waste of time compared to its smoothness.”

Wow! Now that is a perfect comparative compliment. iOS is well-known for amazing customizations, UI changes, and lock screen tools. Yet, it has somewhere lagged in providing improved fluency and smoothness to iPhone users.

Not every iPhone holder complains about the iOS, but still, a few users say that iOS needs major improvements at least in smoothness. HarmonyOS NEXT on the flip side, promises 30% improved fluency over the previous software versions.

Huawei has taken security to a whole new level with HarmonyOS NEXT. App installations are far safer than before. The new OS ensures that a user does not install any risky applications on their device. If it finds any issue, it restricts app installation.

Also, HarmonyOS NEXT cancels out nine unnecessary app permissions that could steal users’ data from their devices. These permissions include:

• Reading the list of installed apps
• Accessing text messages
• Accessing storage files
• Creating home screen shortcuts
• Obtaining device information
• Displaying floating windows
• Accessing call logs
• Installing apps within apps
• Making and managing calls

Thus, Huawei HarmonyOS NEXT is one step ahead of Apple iOS in terms of security and smoothness.
