Suppliers have started shipping the Mate 70 series components to Huawei and it’s expected to enter the assembly line very soon to meet the launch schedule.

This year, the Mate 70 flagship has been delayed significantly. The reason for that could be a busy schedule including the recently introduced tri-fold Mate XT.

However, it could also mean that the company is buying much-needed time to gather all required components for sufficient smartphone supplies.

A previous report revealed that the Chinese tech maker is improving the hardware and software experience of the next-gen Mate series smartphones. Therefore, the unveiling has slipped from the prior date.

On the other hand, Huawei’s supply chain is making separate progress and confirmed that the work on the new Mate 70 components achieved a new milestone.

A supplier told Chinese media that the mass production for ordered components had already started this month (September). The supply chain sources also speculate that the new smartphones could launch in November. The people related to this matter said that more new progress is expected by the end of October.

Last year, Huawei released the Mate 60 series in August to compete against the iPhone 15 launch and the unveiling was quite successful. This year, the slot was claimed by Mate XT, and the Nova 13 series is expected to launch in October.

Previous reports suggest that the Huawei Mate 70 lineup will use 3D facial recognition technology and a quad curve display similar to the previous generation.

The company has planned to release both small and large screen variants. The camera is likely to remain circled in the top center of the rear panel and it will use a single periscope design.

Furthermore, Huawei Mate 70 will introduce new materials and design schemes for a better user experience. It will also become the first smartphone to pre-equip the new HarmonyOS NEXT operating system.
