Huawei Nova Flip gets new call-emoji styles, themes, and mini-games
Huawei has introduced new call-emoji styles and cute pet themes for the Nova Flip. The mid-range foldable users can now explore new patterns to glorify the device’s cover screen. These fresh features will be available via a new software update.
Alongside themes, Nova Flip users will get 3 animated games and 3 mini-games for the cover screen. A new cover screen experience is on the way for the flip-flop model.
On September 24, Huawei hosted the second Autumn launch event for its wearables, smart TV, and more. During the conference, the company launched three new call-emoji patterns and two cute pet styles for the Huawei Nova Flip foldable.
Call-Emoji: or Call fun display feature shows animated lights or patterns on the cover screen during a phone call. Nova Flip already has color variant-based call-emoji styles. Now the company is bringing more styles to this section.

Users will now see a cat-eye, pink heart shape, squarish diamond, floral, and a sparkle pattern in the call-emoji section. All these styles are quite impressive.

Themes: The company is adding two new cute pets: a Husky Pipi and a Red Panda Duzi to the themes. Both animated themes are super cute and give a new look to the cover screen of the Nova Flip. Users can access them in the Settings app.

Games: Huawei also announced new interactive games and mini-games for the Nova Flip’s cover screen. The interactive games list includes a tiny astronaut character, Spaceman Gravity, and Star Maze. Whereas, the mini-games count Needle in the Gap, New 2048, and an electronic wooden fish game.

Users can play these games on the cover screen of the Nova Flip. There is also a new user customization tool that may unlock more personalized features for users. The exact details of this feature are unknown. But we may grab them in the coming days.
Note that Huawei will roll out these call-emoji styles, themes, and features to Nova Flip users in batches via a new HarmonyOS update. Make sure to install the latest version and keep an eye on the update section to download the firmware.
