News regarding the Huawei triple-foldable suggests that the device will use a reliable UTG display solution. The company will likely implement upgraded techs and features that can make the world’s first tri-fold phone a perfect device for consumers.

Weibo tipster @FixedFocus says that Huawei triple-foldable will use the China-made UTG display solution. The respective panel has entered the large-scale production for the upcoming device. Perhaps the supply chain won’t be an issue this time.

UTG refers to Ultra Thin Glass technology. It offers a flat display structure with enhanced device durability for folding phones. It is an easily bendable component and appears quite thin. They are less prone to scratches and other glass-based risks.

Compared to other plastic films in the market, UTG’s stiffness is far stronger and transparent. These glasses can surpass 400000 folding tests without resulting in scratches or tears. Their paper-thin-like structure ranges from 25µm to 100µm.
