Huawei P60 series is getting August 2024 security improvements

Huawei is bringing the August 2024 security improvements for P60 models. The company has rolled out the firmware in batches. But it will soon cover all the eligible units in China. By that time, let’s check what the company has added to the update.

Starting with the software version, the Huawei P60 series users are receiving the August 2024 improvements with HarmonyOS 4.2.0.135 version. Make sure to have sufficient storage in your device as the firmware weighs around 500 Megabytes.

This update improves the system security with the August 2024 security patches. Huawei has closed all the voids that might allow new bugs or any malicious threats to erase data. These defects also lead to system crashes, ruining user experience.

Looking more in the changelog, there’s nothing else than the August 2024 security improvements for the P60 handsets. However, users may be entitled to experience some internal changes and optimizations after installing the latest software update.

If you have not received the new August 2024 update then visit the Settings app. Now select System & Updates followed by Software Updates. Tap Check for Updates.

The phone will reach the server to find the latest versions. Once available, it will show you the “Download and Install” tab. Hit the tab to grab the security benefits. Don’t forget to use a stable internet connection for downloading the update.
