Global Huawei Pura 70 series claims July 2024 enhancements update

Huawei Pura 70 series global units are now hitting with the July 2024 update. The new software comes with enhancements to the optical part of the devices. It also contains a new security patch and tweaks the system stability for a better experience.

The phone maker has already served a similar update to its Pura 70 series users in China. Now it’s time for global device owners to grab the new improvements.

July 2024 update for global Huawei Pura 70 series users is rolling out with the EMUI 14.2 version 14.2.0.173 and a package of 811MB. It’s better to use a standard internet connection for installing the newest update or else, it may lead to failure.

The latest firmware is divided into two parts. The first one treats the camera section of the device. It enhances the primary and telephoto cameras’ image quality.

Huawei also mended the third-party apps for camera purposes and boosted the AI cloud functioning. Thus, the Pura 70 series users will find an upgraded photography experience with the new build.

Speaking of the second part, it brings system stability improvements as well as the June 2024 security patch. These additions will improve the overall performance of the device. One will observe smoother and lag-free functioning after installing the update.

July 2024 security patch – when?

Compared to the Chinese units, the global Huawei Pura 70 series is running a bit slow in updates. While users might have expected the latest July 2024 patch for the flagship models, the company settled them with the June 2024 security patches.

The delay in this case could be the focus on EMUI 14.2 rollout. Up to this point, the company delivered the major update to 5 devices. Meanwhile, other eligible models as well as some expected phones are still looking forward to the new build.

We expect Huawei will soon return to the update track, for its flagship smartphones at least.
