Huawei triple foldable phone tipped to launch in Q4 2024
Huawei triple foldable is currently in development and a recent leak suggests that the device could launch in Q4 2024. The input doesn’t reveal the exact timeline. Although we can expect the tri-folding phone’s arrival by November this year.
The company has been working on its triple-foldable phone since last year. Rumors claimed that the device could launch in the first quarter of this year. Later, the release time shifted to June. But it seems we have to wait for some more time!
As tipster @DigitalChatStation noted, Huawei has started internally testing the world’s first tri-foldable. However, there doesn’t seem any plan for its mass production at present. It looks like the company doesn’t want to hurry in making its dynamic device.
Hence, one can expect to see the Huawei triple foldable phone in Q4 2024 at the earliest. The tipster hasn’t revealed the exact timeline for the trifold’s launch. Judging from the other product launches, we may see the new device after Mate 70 unveiling.
Further inputs highlight that the company is keenly focusing on the display aspects. A tri-fold prototype of the device seems ready and shows a normal screen ratio. Key aspects of this prototype are currently a secret and may remain so until launch.
Regarding the screen solution, an early input suggested that Huawei could use UTG (Ultra-Thin-Glass) display technology for its triple foldable phone. This solution not only eliminates creases but also makes the device more durable.
It reflects a non-uniform layout on the screen to reduce pressure on the device when folded. This also makes the display panel highly resistant to scratches.

The latest leak also sheds light on the Huawei triple foldable’s pricing. Weibo tipster @DigitalChatStation states that the tri-fold phone will likely be an expensive device in the market.
Reasons behind high cost lie in design, form factors, chipset, as well as other advanced technologies. The triple foldable phone is said to use a new Kirin chipset with enhanced performance cores. It may also adopt satellite features and an impressive design.
Huawei has not stamped confirmation on this subject so far. But we expect to soon hear the official words for the world-first triple-foldable smartphone.
