HarmonyOS NEXT boosts privacy and strengthens user data protection: CAICT
China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) says that HarmonyOS NEXT boosts the overall device’s privacy and also strengthens user data protection. The organization also awarded an evaluation certificate to the new OS.
The details reveal that CAICT has recently conducted an evaluation test for HarmonyOS NEXT. During the trial activity, the organization tested 38 indicators.
These indicators include the HarmonyOS NEXT framework, the complete app life cycle, device management, as well as device controlling abilities. After a detailed assessment, CAICT found that the new OS fulfills all major standards for privacy protection.
CAICT organized this trial to mainly inspect the privacy capabilities of the HarmonyOS NEXT. Gladly, the latest operating system proved to be a better and more efficient version than previous versions. The organization shared some key points and said:
“HarmonyOS NEXT is a new and independent OS for smart devices. Compared with traditional operating systems, it can promote the improvement of device-side privacy and ecosystem management capabilities through technical means. For instance, signature verification and access control.”
CAICT also believes that Huawei HarmonyOS NEXT can further increase user data and privacy protection. It can shield the personal information of a user from third-party apps’ access.
During the HarmonyOS NEXT Beta unveiling event, Huawei introduced a new Star Shield Security architecture. The new addition to the operating system aims to secure data from harmful risks. It also restricts defective apps from the AppGallery.
There would be more such impressive features that will protect users’ data in a far better manner and offer improved user experience. Perhaps we will meet these capabilities with the stable release.
