China can build world’s best 5G-A network by making full use of resources: Huawei

On May 17, 2024, Huawei attended the World Telecommunications and Information Society Day Conference, where it said that China is capable of developing the world’s best 5G-A network solutions. This will benefit both operators and consumers.

The President of Huawei Wireless Network Product Group – Cao Ming has delivered a keynote at this event. He mentioned how 5G-A technology is a vital segment of digital growth in today’s world. It plays wonders in the productivity and economy of a region.

Huawei executive cited that China has such factors that it can develop the world’s best and most excellent 5G-A network technology, by using large bandwidth resources to their fullest. Thus it will help the region to obtain brilliant results.

New network resources can boost the downlink rate by 5-10Gbps while the uplink is up to 500Mbps-1Gbps. It also ensures a lower response time, better internet surfing, and fulfillment of other necessities for a sound network environment.

Ming adds that 5G-A also known as 5.5G or 5G-Advanced contributes to a trillion-level growth. It can perform multiple operations like the AI/XR applications promotion, EV-related tasks, and enterprise development and also keeps an eye on IoT devices.

Although to make sure that network-relevant operations run efficiently, there is a need to produce high-quality, advanced, and better 5G-A network technology.

Huawei is also planning to introduce the 5.5G network for smartphones this year. Even though the company has not talked clearly about this topic, we might find changes with the Mate 70 series handsets in mid-October 2024.
