Huawei enters top 5 rankers list in Q1 2024 global TWS earphones market
Huawei has made its way among the top 5 rankers in the Q1 2024 global TWS earphones market. The tech giant scored significant growth with the onset of this year, making its name amid other tech vendors on the worldwide earsets franchise.
Canalys released the Q1 2024 global TWS earphones market report and has listed the top 5 rankers including Huawei. The research firm says that the overall shipment of the true wireless headset scored 65 million units in the first quarter of this year.
It is a small growth of 6% YoY but quite significant putting Apple, Xiaomi, Samsung, boAt, and Huawei in the top 5 positions. Let’s check on the ranks of each brand.
Starting with Huawei, the tech maker obtained fifth place in the global TWS earphones market with 3% of the market share. It shipped around 2.2 million units in the first quarter this year and gained a growth rate of 13%, the second-highest in the list.
Apple is standing at the top with headset sales of 16 million units and has a market share of 25%. Though the yearly growth has slipped by 8%. Next is Xiaomi with an 8% market share and 61% annual growth rate, the highest among all contenders.
The Mi brand has also surpassed Samsung this time and left it in third place with a 3% growth rate. boAt – the Indian earphone maker secured fourth rank with 5% of the market share and 7% of the annual growth.
China Report:
Apart from the global segment, Canalys also published data on China’s earphones market Q1 2024, where Huawei is standing at the third mark. It has procured a 12% market share with an 8% hike in yearly increments, surpassing Edifier and Baseus.
Here, Xiaomi is at the top as well as pushes Apple to the second position. The former scored 20% market share and added 76% to its yearly progress.
