Huawei announces Nova 12 Ultra Star Edition, sale set for May 17

Today, Huawei has shared the promo poster of the all-new Nova 12 Ultra Star Edition smartphone. The company has announced the respective eye-catching version and said to keep it on the sale shelves for consumers in the upcoming days.

While a leak has already mentioned the arrival of the Nova 12 Ultra Star Edition, Huawei has now officially confirmed the news, launching a teaser on Weibo.

Further details reveal that the Nova 12 Ultra Star Edition will set its legs on the official sale on May 17 (Friday) at 10:08 (Beijing time). The overall appearance is similar to the original Ultra variant. But one could find changes in terms of pricing.

“The stars are dazzling and the fashion is always “blue”. At 10:08 on May 17 #huaweinova12# Ultra Star Edition will be on sale soon. #nova12 Excellent Blue Can’t Live#” – wrote Huawei.

Judging from appearance, the device resembles the design of the original Ultra model. It hypes blue color on the rear side and shows printed letter texture. There is the same star-ring camera module with two lenses while an LED flash is below the frame.

It would be worth seeing if the company has made any changes to the parameters of the device or if it follows its sibling. Early reports hint that the device has a 1TB storage option and bears an affordable cost range compared to the main model.

Note that the term Star could refer to ‘Xingyao‘ which signifies a budget-friendly product. The word appeared as a sub-brand of Huawei focusing on cost-effective devices improving the company’s position in the low-to-mid range phone market.
