Huawei FreeClip claims spatial audio feature via March 2024 update
Huawei is bringing the March 2024 update for the open-back earbuds – FreeClip. The latest firmware has arrived with a bunch of bug fixes and improvements. At the same time, the device owners will also discover the significant spatial audio feature.
What is Spatial Audio?
Already existing in the FreeBuds Pro series, the spatial audio capability forms a digital sound surrounding. It describes a variety of sound play-back technologies that make it possible to perceive the sound all around you without any external setup.
So far, the tech giant said to add the spatial audio feature to the Huawei FreeClip devices in the coming days. And it seems like the company is now offering the useful 3D audio-based feature with the latest software treatment.
According to the details, Huawei has released the March 2024 update for the FreeClip earbuds via the HarmonyOS version 4.0.0.166. It also carries a software package of 3.36 Megabytes with optimization for Bluetooth and system stability.
Optimizations:
- Improved connections via Bluetooth
- Optimizes the phone call facility for a suitable experience
While the changelog doesn’t list the spatial audio feature addition, you will see the “HD Spatial Audio” section under the management menu in the AI Life application. Hereafter, you can pick modes as per your song or phone call preference.
The update is rolling out in batches for consumers. You can check the latest firmware through the Huawei AI Life application. Make sure to have sufficient storage space in your device and a stable Bluetooth connection to install the new version.
