Honor Magic 7 Series rumored to sport 1-inch camera sensor and new imaging capabilities
Honor Magic 7 series has already started emerging on the surface for a 1-inch camera sensor implementation. It looks like the next premium smartphone lineup will bring more powerful imaging capabilities over the previous-generation models.
The Chinese tech maker is preparing to launch the Magic 6 models on the global platform. Meanwhile, a new leak says that the Honor Magic 7 series might sport a 1-inch camera sensor. Perhaps, the company plans to follow Huawei in terms of imaging techs for its devices.
Weibo tipster @SmartPikachu cites that the Honor Magic 7 series could use a new image algorithm framework. The company will further work on image enhancement as well as prefer a one-inch camera sensor for the next Magic series.
Although the tipster didn’t mention any new element or specifics on this matter. However, we can expect that Honor would select valuable, advanced, and ‘better than before’ optical components for its upcoming smartphone lineup.
1-inch Camera Sensor:
The respective imaging lens refers to an effective camera technology. It results in capturing more light and offers bright and vibrant effects to the image even under low-light conditions. It also enhances the overall picture quality.
Notably, the 1-inch camera sensor bears a larger surface area to intake more light than ordinary lenses. It brings higher resolution with more details, increases the dynamic range, reduces diffraction from the image, and enables a portrait look.
Huawei P70 Series to use the same!
Some leaks claim that the Huawei P70 series could use the 1-inch large camera sensor (IMX 989) for its top-end models. Probably, Honor may also switch to the same sensor for the new Magic 7 series.
Honor Magic 6 Series
The Magic 6 series including the standard and Pro models uses a 50MP OVH9000 main camera (f/1.9 aperture) with improved OIS features. It also has a 50MP ultra-wide shooter and a 32MP telephoto sensor. On the flip side, the Pro model brings a 180MP periscope lens with Eagle Eye capturing technology.
