Huawei Band 9 spotted on SIRIM, launching soon

Huawei has a bunch of products in the pipeline to unveil this year and one of them seems to be the Band 9 wearable, which has recently been spotted on the SIRIM database. This further indicates that the new wrist gadget will launch soon.

SIRIM (Standard and Industrial Research Institute of Malaysia) looks after the standards and quality of a product. It serves as a promoter of technological excellence in Malaysia.

As per the latest information, Huawei received approval from SIRIM for one of its wearable products named ‘Huawei Band 9’ with the model number KIM-B19. The company listed the device on the respective database on February 6, 2024.

Based on the certification website, the new wearable may firstly launch in Malaysia. Thereafter, it will step into other markets. Apart from the device’s listing on the certification database, there aren’t any key details about specs or features.

Huawei Band 8:

The upcoming wrist gadget could inherit some of the useful features from its predecessors. Notably, the Huawei Band 8 sports a 1.47-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 194 x 368 pixels. It has an 8.99mm lightweight framework.

Band 8 wearable is generally a health tracker with optimized AI facilities for a variety of operations. For instance, sleep tracking, heart rate monitoring, SpO2 rates, and more than 100 workout modes.

In addition, the device supports 14 days of battery life under normal usage and three days with AOD enabled. It can recharge the cell within 45 minutes and has a 30% faster charging capability than the previous-generation models. It would be worth seeing what new improvements the Huawei Band 9 will serve on the table.
