Huawei HarmonyOS PC software system likely to debut this year
Huawei is working on a dedicated HarmonyOS PC software system, which could debut on the consumer platform in 2024. The release date is not confirmed but, new leaks have some revealings that hint at the imminent launch of a computer-based OS.
Yes, Huawei has begun the HarmonyOS NEXT developer beta test recruitment but in case you think the software remains confined to smartphones then think again! As per a new input, the Huawei HarmonyOS PC software system could debut this year.
Weibo tipster @DigitalChatStation has brought light to this subject. He said that the HarmonyOS NEXT and HarmonyOS PC software will be crucial products in 2024. Perhaps, we could see the official launch of this software on January 18.
Currently, the HarmonyOS ecosystem includes smartphones, tablets, earbuds, smartwatches, smart car systems, and other IoT devices. However, consumers are likely to find a separate PC section on board in the upcoming weeks.
Earlier, few reports suggested that Huawei is working on a specific HarmonyOS operation system for PCs. The list of devices for this software will count laptops, notebooks, and other tech-pack computers. It would be worth seeing what new features users will gain in this development.
So far, Huawei PCs have been relying upon the Microsoft Windows. While the respective OS offers amazing functionalities to computers, it’s time to jump on a self-developed software with far better features and capabilities. Yet, an official statement on this matter is still awaited.
