MiHoYo announces HarmonyOS native app development with Huawei
MiHoYo, a Chinese video game development and publishing company began the HarmonyOS native app development with Huawei. Both parties will indulge in in-depth cooperation, enhancing multi-platform gameplay and improving the overall gaming experience.
MiHoYo creates products and experiences that are out of the box. The firm is well-known for dynamic game releases such as Houkai, Gakuen2, Honkai Impact 3, Tears of Themis, Honkai: Star Rail, and Genshin Impact which is one of the highest-grossing mobile games.
Apart from the gaming section, the company is also popular for various other products like animated series, novels, comics, and music. It also developed the desktop software N0va desktop and HoYolab – the community product.
Today, Huawei shared a new post on its official Weibo page announcing that MiHoYo has begun the HarmonyOS native app development. Just like many other Chinese firms participating in the HarmonyOS ecosystem, MiHoYo aims to offer a more comprehensive experience to its users with the native app based on HarmonyOS NEXT.
Last month, the company added a new option in the recruitment section on the official website. This position is for Engine Developers and is required for Genshin Impact. The page further informs about the eligibility criteria and job roles.
Perhaps, this could be a step towards HarmonyOS native app development. Speaking about the position, it includes the adaptation of the engine layer HarmonyOS system along with system UI, input, file system, memory management, and other projects. One must have 3-5 years of experience with enough knowledge of advanced tech usage.
