Huawei should not discredit its colleagues and mislead public, says Xiaomi

Xiaomi has recently published an article that reads ‘Huawei should not disgrace its colleagues or mislead the public’. The article further cites that Yu Chengdong – Huawei Consumer Business Group CEO has made false remarks on the keel hinge technology.

The story began a few days back when Yu attended an interview. Here, the CEO mocked Xiaomi’s keel hinge technology saying that competitors don’t respect Huawei’s intellectual property rights. Eventually, they just copy the product and paste their own name on it.

Giving example, Yu Chengding mentioned that Huawei constantly optimizes its hinge technology. The latest one is the double-rotation water drop hinge. However, some tech makers have directly named it Keel. Although, any such thing does not exist.

Responding to the matter, Xiaomi said that Huawei should not discredit its colleagues and mislead the public. Adding more points to the article, the MiOS developer said that Yu Chengdong had made inaccurate remarks on the keel hinge mechanism.

The article reads the following words:

“Recently, Mr. Yu Chengdong made unfounded and untrue remarks about our company’s keel shaft technology, which are seriously inconsistent with the facts. We ask Mr. Yu Chengdong to follow the basic rules of ‘science and rigor’ and stop discrediting his colleagues and misleading the public.”
