Huawei EMUI December 2023 updates list

December 24, 2023, Huawei is rolling out new EMUI software updates for global smartphone users and over the past month, December is not an exception.

Most phones receive November 2023 security patches to improve their EMUI user experience. Therefore, eligible phone users can download a new release to get better security optimizations.

Meanwhile, we’re waiting for Huawei to release a version upgrade recent flagship in the global market. EMUI 14 is likely to be the next major milestone in the EMUI tree but the information about this software is nowhere to be found.

Since there are only a few weeks left in the year’s closing, Huawei should and least give the users a way to stick to the brand for their older or even latest smartphones.

Meanwhile, in China, all of the smartphone users are enjoying HarmonyOS 4 and might also make a way toward HarmonyOS NEXT. However, the company’s treatment of global users is raising questions about the after-sales services that Huawei has to offer.

To be mentioned, Huawei has covered all 11 devices from the EMUI 13 roadmap. However, some of the worthy models are left behind despite being able to run this new software.

As of December 24, the company has only pushed the new security patch for a limited number of smartphone models.

December 31, 2023:

• Huawei releasing a new EMUI upgrade for the Huawei Mate 20 Pro smartphone in the global market with EMUI version 12.0.0.170.
• Huawei P30 Lite New Edition takes one of its last software rollout with EMUI version 12.0.0.265.

December 29, 2023:

• Huawei P30 Pro global model is now receiving a new network improvement update which comes with EMUI 12.0.0.219 and 205MB downloadable package. This update follows an early patch of 20MB.
• Huawei P50 Pro global models get the 13.0.0.266 software version with integrated December 2023 security patches for improved system security.

December 25, 2023:

• Huawei Mate 50 Pro users are now receiving a December 2023 security patch with EMUI version 13.0.0.268 and a downloadable package size of 335 megabytes.

December 23, 2023:

• Huawei P30 series is getting a surprising software release with a small patch for system and software improvements. This will improve the phone’s performance in certain scenarios. The software is released in batches and may take some time to reach all of the Huawei P30 series users.

December 21, 2023:

• Huawei has started releasing the December 2023 EMUI security patch for the global users of Huawei Nova 9 smartphone and it comes with EMUI 13.0.0.285 build version.

December 15, 2023:

• Huawei is sending a new update patch for the Huawei P20 Pro smartphone from 2018, this is a surprising addition to the device as it brings new system stability improvements for better performance. December 7, 2023:

• Huawei Nova Y70 users also fetching EMUI software version 12.0.0.257 with 295 megabytes of downloadable package size. This release also contains November 2023 security improvements.

December 5, 2023:

• Huawei Nova 11 Pro is getting EMUI 13.0.0.169 with November 2023 security patches for a better security experience. Nova 11 would also be one of the earliest phones to get EMUI 14 once released.

December 2, 2023:

• Huawei P40 Pro global users are now installing EMUI version 12.0.0.356 and it comes with November 2023 security patches. The company is releasing this update in batches and it may take some time to expand among all users.
