Huawei Pocket S2 foldable may postpone to early next year
Huawei could postpone the launch of its new vertical foldable phone to early next year from an early release, says a tipster.
Tipster FixedFocus is saying that the Huawei Pocket S2 vertical foldable phone could shift launch around February next year. While the phone was an early pick for this month’s event alongside the Huawei Nova 12.
The foldable phone industry is rapidly gaining momentum among consumers and phone makers continue to release new devices at lower prices to further expand the market growth.
Huawei is one of the key players in the foldable devices market and operates in three categories of devices including side-foldable, in-ward folding, and vertical foldable devices.
Earlier this year, Huawei released the Mate X3, followed by Mate X5 with 5G connectivity. However, a new vertical foldable phone is still pending in the launch schedule.
More on this, tipster DigitalChatStation recently shared a photograph of the transparent case for alleged Pocket S2. It shows that the phone has two large circles, larger than the Pocket S and P50 Pocket devices. However, the key elements in the design could be similar to Huawei’s current vertical offerings.
This device will also bring 5G network access by using the new Kirin chipset technology.
Huawei Pocket S comes with a 6.9-inch main screen, 120Hz refresh rate, P3 wide color gamut, and 1440Hz PWM dimming. The phone packs a 4000mAh battery with 40W super fast wired charging. It uses using 40MP main camera with an RYYB color array. For now, Huawei has not published any new comment on this matter.
