Honor MagicOS 8 coming soon reveals Google Play Service beta announcement
Honor MagicOS 8 is coming and its beta could start soon according to the official Honor beta activity status.
Honor is testing Google Play services for the models inside China. Initially, the company selected Magic 5 and Vs2 foldable phones for the beta test and released the corresponding software builds.
Speaking of which, Honor recently published a new announcement to mark the conclusion of this Google Play service beta campaign.
Below the announcement, Honor left a note that the company will push similar Google Play Services and related changes with the next generation MagicOS. Although, Huawei didn’t name the version but we get the idea that the company is talking about MagicOS 8.
Furthermore, Honor said in the community announcement that there’s a plan to start closed beta recruitment by the end of November. But, there are no specific dates mentioned for the recruitment.
Last year, Honor released MagicOS 7, which is based on Android 13 and the next version could bring Android 14 in the base. Unlike the past software, MagicOS 8 would be deeply blended with generative and smart AI software features.
Recently, Honor CEO, Geroge Zhao appeared at Qualcomm Summit 2023 and shared details about features such as AI video editing and LLM voice recognition system. Still, we’re waiting for more details about the release of Honor MagicOS 8.
