Huawei Mate 60 Pro starts reclaiming market share from Apple, Oppo, Vivo, and others in China
The fall of Apple, Vivo, Oppo, and other phone makers brought a good sign for Huawei after the launch of Huawei Mate 60 Pro, as it claimed a new market share that has been lost for quite some time now.
Research data from GfK reveals that iPhone 15 series sales declined 6% in the launch month as compared to the same duration last year. On the other hand, IDC revealed that Apple’s shipments were down up to 4% in China for the third quarter of 2023.
IDC reveals that Oppo and Vivo, one of the five largest phone makers are seeing their worst decline of the third quarter this year reducing 10.5% and 25.7% YoY growth respectively in Q3 2023.
Meanwhile, Xiaomi, which is in fifth place among top sellers, is standing flat without making any on-year growth. The researcher notes that the Huawei Mate 60 series is making a buzz among consumers.
Data from Counterpoint Research shows that Huawei has increased its year-on-year sales growth by 37%. On the other hand, Apple, Oppo, and Vivo received a decline of 10%, 14% and 13% respectively in Q3 2023. Meanwhile, Honor, Huawei’s former subsidiary has reclaimed the top spot in the Chinese smartphone market.
Although, Huawei still remains out of the top 5 in the smartphone market share section but the company has seemingly started to reclaim all of the lost progress to Apple, and its other Chinese competitors.
