Honor is preparing to launch an Honor 100 series (tentatively) and the standard Honor 100 could equip Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, says a tipster.
Weibo blogger, ClassmateGuan said that Qualcomm will bring a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset and it will be featured on the standard Honor 100 model. However, he doesn’t reveal a launch date.
The tipster also mentioned that the Honor 100 Pro will host a better chip. The latest information appeared a day after Qualcomm released its latest flagship SoC – Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
The new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 comes with generative AI capabilities, Wi-Fi 7 fast network access, 240 fps gaming support, and more. The chip is processed with 4nm technology, which is an advanced version of the tech used in SD 8 Gen 1.
Currently, it’s uncertain whether Honor chose the 8 Gen 3 for the Pro model or the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 for the standard Honor 100.
Honor 100 Series:
Past information shows that the Honor 100 series will sport a coastline design similar to the Huawei P60 Art. On the other side, the phone will use the MagicOS 8.0 software.
This new software will bring better fluency, improved multi-device connection, and optimized privacy and security for the users. Honor CEO previously assured users that MagicOS 8.0 will surprise the consumers.
Other features of this unreleased device may include a 1.5k resolution display with a high refresh rate and ultra-high 3840Hz PWM dimming. The head of the screen is likely to have a cutout in the center.
The rumored specs look quite promising but Honor is yet to confirm a launch date for this new device. However, the past launch tradition suggests that the Honor 100 series could be unveiled later this year.
