Huawei Mate X5 is 156.9mm tall, it’s 72.4mm wide while unfolded and 141.5mm unfolded. The device is 11.08mm thick and 5.3mm thin once expanded. The plain leather version weighs 243 grams and the feather sand glass 243 grams.

Screen:

Huawei Mate X5 uses a 7.85-inch main screen and a 6.4-inch cover screen. The foldable display specs vary in the standard and Collector’s Edition.

The standard Mate X5 uses foldable flexible OLED and supports up to 120 Hz refresh rate, 1440 Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, and up to 240 Hz touch sampling rate.

The Collector’s Edition of Mate X5 uses foldable flexible OLED, supports 1-120 Hz LTPO adaptive refresh rate, 1440 Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, and up to 240 Hz touch sampling rate.

Both of these models have 2496 x 2224 pixels resolution and 426PPI. The cover display is made with a 3D quad-curved OLED screen with 1-120Hz LTPO adaptive refresh rate, 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, and up to 300hz touch sampling rate.

Camera:

Huawei Mate X5 has triple rear cameras including a 50MP main super sensing camera with f/1.8 aperture. There’s a secondary camera with a 13MP ultra wide-angle camera with f/1.2 aperture. There is a 12MP periscope telephoto cam with f/3.4 aperture and OIS optical image stabilization. The periscope camera offers 5x optical zoom (5x zoom is an approximate value, the lens focal lengths are 13 mm, 23 mm, and 125 mm respectively), and 50x digital zoom. The front of the phone gives you an 8MP selfie camera with f/2.4 aperture.

Battery:

Huawei Mate X5 packs a 5060mAh battery, it recharges with a 66W wired charger. Supporting 50W wireless charger and 7.5W wireless reverse charging.

Connectivity:

The phone connects 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi frequencies. Bring Bluetooth 5.2, supports Bluetooth low energy, supports SBC, AAC, and supports LDAC and L2HC high-definition audio. Support card reader mode, and card simulation mode (Huawei wallet payment, SIM card payment, HCE payment). As of September 14, Huawei started selling the phone in China with full and pre-sale amounts and it will star to ship from September 25. The price of the Huawei Mate X5 currently remains unannounced. Meanwhile, there’s no confirmation about its global debut.
