New EMUI update for Mate 20 X 5G adds ‘5G’ watermark feature on camera

Huawei Mate 20 X 5G is the first smartphone with SA/NSA network access and its launch is expanding in more markets. Meanwhile, the phone is getting the latest EMUI update with a new feature to its camera and improvement to its performance.

The new update for Huawei Mate 20 X 5G adds camera feature of a 5G watermark option. After enabling it, there will be an automatic ‘Mate 20 X 5G’ watermark printed on pictures taken with this smartphone. The update also optimizes 5G communication and system stability. Moreover, it includes August 2019 security patch.

Huawei Mate 20 X 5G receiving this update with EMUI version 9.1.1.167. The update is currently rolling several countries and will soon be expanded to more.

Note: This version is pushed in batches. The EMUI versions and update size and roll out time may vary depending on the market and models.

If you want to check for the update manually you can do this by following the instruction below:

Go to Settings > System > Software update > Check for Updates. If an update is available, it’ll ask if you want to download it.

If the update does not appear in the settings, we recommend you to request it via HiCare App: Go to HiCare app > tap on Update > click on the Checkbox and hit Apply.
