Huawei pushes new 7GB HarmonyOS 4 beta, launching this week
Huawei is pushing a new HarmonyOS 4 developer beta software update for the testers with a nearly 7GB of package size. This new rollout comes as the company prepares to showcase HarmonyOS 4 at HDC 2023 conference this week.
According to the changelog, the latest HarmonyOS 4 beta carries the software version 4.0.0.106 and a downloadable size of 6.68GB. Since it’s a developer’s only beta release, the company has not mentioned anything but system stability improvement in the changelog.
Yet, it seems that there could be many new additions that are part of this rollout that developers need to explore.
The first developer beta of HarmonyOS 4 installed new user interface changes. Past information shows that Huawei has improved the software’s efficiency to increase its performance.
Also, there are new animations to improve the user experience with smoother UI interactions. Interestingly, this update has the most advanced UI customizations as compared to the past versions.
Huawei will unveil HarmonyOS 4 for everyone at this week’s Huawei Developer Conference (HDC) 2023. With its launch, Huawei will start testing its public beta for all of Huawei smartphone owners.
Meanwhile, Huawei will also announce some new capabilities and platform adaptations for the software community based on the HarmonyOS ecosystem. You can read more about the HDC 2023 event below.
