Huawei Mate 50 Series is also getting HarmonyOS 4.0 Beta (dev)

Huawei Mate 50 series in China is now collecting HarmonyOS 4.0 developer beta. This rollout follows the Huawei P60 series, which received this mega OTA update late last month.

According to the changelog, the Huawei Mate 50 series is receiving HarmonyOS 4.0 dev beta with version 4.0.0.58 (DEVC00E57R5P4). Also, the downloadable size is a 6.67GB package, which is similar to the P60 lineup.

Huawei’s latest HarmonyOS 4.0 Beta system allows users to experience the convenience and efficiency of application development. It is brought by the ArkTS language, Stage model, ArkUI enhanced components and multiple functions of DevEco Studio. Other than these, there isn’t anything else mentioned in the changelog. Yet, it does include some update notes explained below.

This update will not delete user data, but it is still recommended to make a data backup before updating. In order to ensure the normal and phased testing of the HarmonyOS 4.0 developer Beta version, the developer will need to abide by the relevant commitments of the Beta confidentiality agreement.
