First HarmonyOS 4.0 beta rolling out for devs
Huawei is rolling out the first developer beta of HarmonyOS 4.0 inside a large update package of 6.6GB for all of the devices in the first phase of recruitment.
According to the information, Huawei is rolling out the first HarmonyOS 4.0 developer beta with build version 4.0.0.58 (DEVC00E57R5P4) and 6.67GB of downloadable size. Although the changelog doesn’t expose much information about the improvements, there’s a brief changelog, which could come in handy.
The update log shows that the developer beta version of HarmonyOS 4.0 can experience the convenience and efficiency of application development brought by the ArkTS language, Stage model, ArkUI enhanced components, and DevEco Studio functions.
The latest developed beta of HarmonyOS 4.0 is only available for certain devices including:
- Huawei P60
- Huawei P60 Pro
- Huawei P60 Art
- Huawei Mate X3 (including Collector’s Edition)
- Huawei Mate 50
- Huawei Mate 50 Pro
- Huawei Mate 50 RS Porsche Design
- Huawei MatePad Pro 11-inch performance version
The beta applications are still open until July 3rd, 2023, as the company will keep on evaluating the applications to release new BETA OTA
The early access will allow the developers to test-run their applications before the official announcement for public testers. The past announcement shows that Huawei Developer Conference (HDC) 2023 will happen in August and the company will unveil this new OS version.
