It has been a while, 5G network has been missing in Huawei smartphones. The US ban has blocked the company from accessing 5G chips neither from the US nor from any other vendor. This result has been reflected in the recently launched flagship- Huawei P50, which doesn’t have 5G.

This latest flagship comes with powerful hardware, enhanced features, software proficiency, keeping the camera as the main focus. However, this smartphone only supports 4G network that sadly counted as its drawback even after its amazing performance.

In late August, a Weibo tipster commented that the Chinese tech cloud releases a 5G smartphone soon. This news stirred up fastly but didn’t receive any positive feedback. It can be understood as the company is already facing chip supply issues and its chipmaking subsidiary HiSilicon is still researching.

In spite of all the above-mentioned facts, the same tipster has come back with very familiar news that was shared by a Huawei authority. As per the news, the company mentioned soon bring 5G smartphone in a release.

In more technical terms, Huawei has a 5G chipset but cannot unlock its 5G capability to the lack of 5G network bands (RF receivers) to install on its smartphones. Therefore, the 5G network band remained disabled on the corresponding device.

The tipster mentioned, the company would be able to solve this issue soon enough on its smartphones and bring back 5G. However, a specific time and date remain unknown on this matter at the moment.

The company also wants to prove that 5G chip storage is a matter of fact and it can’t always remain a hopeless problem.

Besides, the company will host the forthcoming Nova 9 series launch event on September 23rd. It’s also reported to introduce many other products which have come into the light yet.
