2020’s iPhone 12 gets renamed as iPhone 13 with 20% smaller notch: Launched

On September 14, 2021, Apple launched its latest iPhones – iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max. All of these Shiny iPhone 12 designed with a slightly smaller notch and renamed to launch as iPhone 13 series. What an innovation.

So, what has changed in these new iPhones (iPhone 12s)?

We’ll be skipping the 13 mini and 13 (standard model) for this conversation and dive directly into the Pro and Pro Max variants.

Design:

The aluminum frame on the sides is really appreciated by iPhone 12 Pro consumers and it’s really versatile, we really want to see these changes and the iPhone 13 Pro models also look good on the new aluminum. However, there’s one thing that I personally have to mention about the color scheme, Apple has one of the best device color options in the world.

Although it may not be able to compete with Huawei P50 Pro in color options but yeah… it’s those colors that are really eye-catching and the finishing is just amazing.

Display:

iPhone 13 and 13 Pro Max sports the new 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch large display respectively. interestingly the new Super Retina XDR with ProMotion display enables various refresh rates from 10Hz to 120Hz, bringing faster content viewing experience for the consumers.

According to Apple, Pro variants generates 25 percent higher max outdoor brightness at up to 1000 nits.

The biggest upgrade in my view is the new super-slim shady notch. Yes, the notch is now 20 percent smaller. Did you read that 20 percent, an upgrade that iPhone consumers have wanted since iPhone 11? Well, it’s finally here and iPhone consumers should rejoice this moment.

Well, i also have an iPhone, Apple can you please rollout an OTA update for my iPhone Xs Max and shrink its notch too? It was just a joke.

A15 Bionic and 5G:

iPhone 13 series is packed with the new A15 Bionic chipset that is proceeding with 5-nanometer technology. The chipset has a new 5 core GPU in Pro devices to provide faster and smoother gameplay. Apple says the new 6 core CPU derives 50 percent more performance than its competitors and the new 16 core Neural Engine can process up to 15.8 trillion operating per second.

iPhone 13 lineup supports 5G, yeah a word that currently missing from Huawei’s flagship devices but we’ll get it soon or later. Now focusing back to latest iphones, which now has more 5G bands, allowing it to get more connectivity in harsh network conditions.

Camera:

The last but not least, the camera department. iPhone 13 and 30 Pro Max comes with a 1.9 µm pixels larger sensor, the largest built on iPhone. There’s an f/1.5 aperture wide-angle camera along with sensor-shift optical image stabilization (OIS) for stable videos.

There is the new f/1.8 ultra wide-angle camera that also has a night mode. There are various camera modes available for iPhone users to test and run the camera. Aside from every improvement that has been made to these latest iPhones, my attention goes to only one feature – the new Cinematic Mode.

Cinematic mode on iPhone records videos of people, pets, and objects with a depth effect with automatic focus changes. This is really an amazing addition.
