Huawei-BAIC STELATO S9 smart car debuts at Beijing Auto Show 2024

Beijing Auto Show 2024 is live and today, Huawei-BAIC first sedan brand STELATO S9 debuts at this event. The smart car appeared showing its luxurious outlook and some prominent features to consumers attending the automobile conference.

STELATO S9 debuts on the ground with new Huawei solutions and some tough hardware components from BAIC. The executives say that the car equips high-end Huawei’s full-stack smart technology for speedy as well as durable performance aspects.

Officials say that it might appear as a breakthrough in the auto industry and form a ‘Huawei 9 series dual flagship’. This would initiate a new competition in the market.

Further inputs reveal that the STELATO S9 has flatter, slender lines and far more elegant proportions than other EVs. It is a mid-to-large size car with 3460mm of usable space in the cabin. It also has digital rear mirrors with 21-inch multi-spoke wheels.

The respective smart car has an inside-out design which maximizes the overall cabin space. Hence STELATO S9 could be a new rival to vehicles like the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, BMW 7 Series, Audi A8L, and more.

Designing segments also include flat side windows, streaming rearview mirrors, and forged-milled wheels. STELATO S9 appears in four colors: Black, White, Universal Red, and Xinghui Gold. It has a dimension of 5160mm x 1987mm x 1486/1498mm with a wheelbase of 3050mm and a weight of 2366kg.

Other specs are Huawei Digital Energy’s electric motor which delivers a power of 227kW for the single motor version and 158kW + 227kW for the dual-motor variant.

Huawei’s Consumer Business Group CEO – Yu Chengdong said that we can expect to see the STELATO S9 on sale in July or August this year with interesting features.
