HarmonyOS 4.2.0.120 beta reaches Huawei P60 series with new security patch

Huawei P60 series smartphone users are getting a new HarmonyOS 4.2 beta update with the 4.2.0.120 version. Perhaps this could be the last testing build for the flagship lineup and the company may soon treat it with the official software upgrade.

It is worth noting that the Huawei 60 series HarmonyOS 4.2 beta update is currently rolling out for the first 2000 users who have enrolled in the latest software testing activity. Meanwhile, others need to wait for some more days to fetch the stable build.

All three P60 series models – Standard, Pro, and Art are compatible with this update. But make sure to have at least 8GB of storage in your phone before proceeding.

Huawei P60 series testers installing the newest HarmonyOS 4.2.0.120 beta update must have the baseline version 4.2.0.110 for a smooth installation procedure. We also suggest using a stable Wi-Fi medium to download the software package.

• Added a new geometry fun theme that lets you select different triangular shapes to create a group thus, beginning the party by following the click gesture to scroll above or below the lock screen.
• Added a new geometric sticker theme which can pile up different triangular shapes or colorful stickers, creating a personalized theme. Moreover, users can interact with these stickers via the click gesture on the lock screen.
• Added a new mood fun theme where you can choose from various cute expressions freely as well as combine them to form an enriched theme via several layout methods.
• Added a new mood sticker theme which uses a rich collection of popular emoticons and 1500+ mood emoticons to form an ever-changing interactive theme hence, making the lock screen more fun.

Display:

• Optimizes the interface display effect of some applications.

Security:

• Integrated the April 2024 security patch to enhance the system security.
