Fomalhaut reportedly denies performing Huawei Pura 70 series teardown for parts analysis

Fomalhaut has denied the recent Huawei Pura 70 series teardown report that says, the respective Japanese firm disassembled the device and found 90% of Chinese parts. The firm now says that it has not conducted any such analysis for new devices.

Some previous revelations quoted that Fomalhaut conducted a teardown of the Huawei Pura 70 series. The details also mentioned that the device packs most of its components from Chinese suppliers rather than relying upon foreign goods and firms.

Most of these products include chips, displays, cases, batteries, lenses, and heat-dissipation materials. Only the main camera for the Pura 70 Ultra belongs to Sony.

Although the Tokyo-based Fomalhaut Techno Solutions responded that it has not opted for any such disassembly as the device is still far from the company’s hands.

The CEO of the Fomalhaut company – Minatake Mitchell Kashio said that he or his company didn’t get the product up to this point or have been asked to provide a review, analysis, or dismantle report for honest feedback on the device.

“I never commented on the Pura 70 to anyone because we have not received the product.” – says Mitchell

Hence it is still unclear how much amount of domestic parts Huawei imposed in the Pura 70 series. Though we can guess some of the key components.

For instance, the Kirin 9010 processor belongs to the SMIC foundry, just like its predecessor Kirin 9000s for the Mate 60 Pro handset. But other things are still under the hood and we might have to wait for some more time to obtain accurate details.
